San Francisco Restaurant Week
April 4-13
Celebrate the flavors of San Francisco’s unique and diverse neighborhoods through special prix-fixe menus. Founded in 1936, the Golden Gate Restaurant Association celebrates and empowers the restaurant community through advocacy, education, marketing, events and training.

Pebble Beach Food & Wine
April 10-13
Over the course of four days, global chefs, wineries, mixologists, sommeliers and beverage personalities will gather for a destination event at the iconic Pebble Beach Resorts in Monterey. Scheduled attendees include Alice Waters, Jonathan Waxman and Giada de Laurentiis.

Saunters & Sips
April 12, 2-5 p.m.
This event at the Museum of Ventura County celebrates the wineries and vineyards of the Sta. Rita Hills. The focus will be on new spring releases with a special emphasis on rosés and sparkling wines, including a conversation with wine writer and sommelier Bonnie Graves of Girl Meets Grape. High on the Hog Catering will be providing delicious BBQ and snacks and music by The Salty Strings will round out the event for a lovely spring afternoon.

Santa Barbara Kite Festival
April 13
This family-friendly annual event is held in the Great Meadow lawn on the west campus of Santa Barbara City College. Festival creator and kite master Rakesh Bahadur’s family opened America’s first commercial kite store in the 1970s. Rakesh and festival director David Hefferman present the festival each year to the community as a labor of love and have enjoyed kite flying with generations of families from far and near over the years.

The 60th Pasadena Showcase House of Design
April 20-May 18
One of the nation’s oldest, largest, and most successful home & garden tours debuts following just four short months of renovation. Bauer Estate & Gardens, considered the finest creation of famous architect Reginald D. Johnson, is a majestic 1928 Monterey colonial estate was built by Peter Hall of Gamble House fame for Harry Bauer (CEO of Southern California Edison) and his wife Alice (Board Chair of the Los Angeles County Arboretum). Over 30,000 guests will tour through the 30+ interior and landscape design spaces highlighting cutting-edge trends in high style living. Guests can expect the famous Shops at Showcase, offering a variety of boutique and craft merchants, as well as several on-site restaurants. Presented by Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1948 to support music and the arts in Southern California.

The California Poppy Festival™
April 25-27
The city of Lancaster’s annual celebration of California’s state flower will honor the beauty of the poppy with live entertainment, amusement park rides, festival food, live animal exhibits and countless activities for all ages at the AV Fair & Event Center.
